Until tomorrow...

Today is the first official day of my Project 365 for 2010. I started this blog last August 31st and I used the time from then until yesterday to practice for this first day. I hope you will consider taking this journey with me and commit to taking at least one picture every day this year. It is amazing how quickly the days go by and we lose site of those every day moments and this is a excellent way to capture them (at least for one year in our lives). I have also found I am becoming a better photographer and who wouldn't like that bonus? You do not need to blog every day like I do, I just use the blog as a way to remind myself to take that one picture and make that one quick entry about the picture so I stay on task. Another one of my goals is to stay on top of creating weekly digital page layouts so at the end of this project my scrapbook will be complete for this year. Unfortunately, this is where I am coming up a little short, I am several weeks behind in my layouts from my practice run last year. I did discover that at Weeds and Wildflowers they have come up with a solution to this very dilemma for 2010, I am not sure if I will use their kits but I am thinking about it.
No more Christmas tree-- we took it down today along with the other decorations. Since we put the tree up shortly after Thanksgiving I like to have it all put away before New Year's Eve. This year we did it with a couple of days to spare. We still have most of Ben's new Christmas toys in the living room-- those won't get put away until New Years Day.
WOW, Ben slept until 8:04 am this morning, what a treat to sleep in, he is usually up between 6:30 and 7:00 am. After breakfast, Ben and I went to see the new Alvin and the Chipmunk movie, I thought it was a little slow in the beginning but Ben liked it. My recommendation would be to rent it don't waste the money to go see it in the movie theater unless you are desperate to get the kids out of the house this vacation.
Today is clean up day after the whirlwind of Christmas. We set up the bunk beds in our spare room so when my mother and step-father visit they actually have beds to sleep in. They brought the remainder of the pieces with them and we set it up on Christmas Eve. I am doing the piles and piles of laundry today and boy it was a workout getting that top bunk made, it was definitely a two person job!
The SerendipitistI'm many things to many people; I'm a mom to a wonderful son, I'm a wife to a fantastic guy, and I have a great job working part time for a financial institution. I've been an active scrapbooker for about 15 years. I see blogs as the natural next step into "digital" scrapbooking.
Through this blog, my goal is to become a better photographer, designer, and writer. I'm also hoping to use it as a tool to stay connected with family and friends since I've not been the best at staying in touch.
My passion is to document our lives a little every day because mini moments lead to memories that will fade with time if not preserved. That's why I'm committing to Project 365 where I promise myself to record at least one mini moment daily and to share it here with you. I hope that you will leave comments or send me email and let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by.
